As we prepare to welcome guests to this year’s Alianta Gala, we are especially pleased to greet those attending for the first time. Whether you are a long-time supporter or new to our mission, the Gala is a meaningful evening that brings together leaders, changemakers, and community members committed to strengthening the relationship between the United States and Romania.
Here is what you can expect as a first-time attendee:
A Celebration of Impact
The Alianta Gala is our signature annual event, honoring individuals and organizations whose work has significantly advanced U.S.–Romania relations. The evening features award presentations, keynote speakers, and cultural moments that highlight the richness of our shared transatlantic ties.
Dinner and Guest Accommodations
A full, seated dinner will be served as part of the evening. If you or your guests have dietary restrictions or allergies, we encourage you to notify us in advance. We are happy to accommodate these needs whenever possible and are committed to ensuring a thoughtful and inclusive experience for all.
Dress Code
The dress code for the Gala is black-tie optional. Tuxedos and formal evening gowns are welcome, though dark suits and elegant cocktail attire are also entirely appropriate. Guests are encouraged to dress in a way that feels both comfortable and celebratory.

The Gala provides a unique opportunity to engage with leaders in diplomacy, business, policy, and culture — as well as with fellow members of the Romanian-American community.
