Romanian War Debts to US - World War One
It is not well known nor mentioned in a number of recent historial works on Romania, that the U.S. provided war loans to the US during the War. These amounted to $36 million (equal to about $500 million in today's terms). Repayment requested by the U.S. was negotiated in 1925 by Nicolae Titulescu.
