If you’re coming to DC for the Gala, especially if you haven’t been to our nation’s capital before, you might be wondering what to expect. Here are a few tips to help you make the most of your trip:
1. Hotels
We arranged with The Willard hotel for a special price for our Gala guests. You can reserve your room here.
Prefer to stay somewhere else? Not a problem. We put together a list of hotels close by that you can take a look at:
2. Dress code
The gala is a black-tie affair, you can take a look at photos from our previous Galas here. If, however, you don’t have that perfect dress with you, there are shopping options in downtown DC.
The Summit’s dress code is business attire/service dress uniform.
3. Restaurants
Get a taste of the local flavor. DC is known for its food, so be sure to try some of the local restaurants. You can see a list of DC restaurants here and we also encourage you to ask a local Gala attendee: they are eager to share their favorite places and it’s a great way to start a conversation if you’re mingling at the event!
4. Things to do
Explore the city. DC is full of history and culture, so take some time to walk around and see the sights. Admission to all Smithsonian museums is free!
5. Have fun!
The gala is a great opportunity to mingle with other business professionals, so make the most of it.
